Royal Commission on Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Government

Power Corrupts and Absolute Power
Corrupts Absolutely
Lord John Dalberg-Acton - 1887
Royal Commission on Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Government

There can be no doubt, that the lack of moral fortitude in the Political Elite has left a stain on the country, helped to create a toxic and greed-driven society, broken the public trust, and ruined a political party (rightly so).

However, along the way, this last scandal-ridden Government has also ruined the lives of the very people they were elected to serve

During the Election, many, many disenfranchised people are saying:
"Politicians are just in it for themselves"

The only way to rebuild trust is to introduce accountability.

However, as these professional politicians, who vote themselves pay increases while calling on the rest of us to tighten our belts for "Austerity" are unlikely to push for real change, we must unite and call for a Royal Commission on Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Government

As a reminder, here's what the CONservative Government allowed to happen during its 14-year term of "Governance"

Here are 24 notable scandals involving Conservative MPs in the UK over the past 14 years:
